πŸŽ‰ MILESTONE: ADHD and GLP-1 need advice!

I can not believe I am typing this. When I started this journey I had zero hope.

Numbers: BMI went from 38 to 25.

Thank you to this community for keeping me sane through the hard parts. You know who you are. πŸ™

Gonna push back on this one. ADHD and GLP-1 need advice is not that straightforward in my experience. I have been on this for 12 months and the reality is messier than the trials suggest.

Don't get me wrong β€” the medication works. But cost accessibility is a real barrier. We should be honest about that.

This is exactly right. pete_manc_UK articulated what I have been trying to explain to my doctor for months. The ADHD and GLP-1 need aspect is the most important factor.

Clinical perspective on ADHD and GLP-1 need advice:

I have managed ~150 patients on GLP-1 therapy and this topic comes up frequently. What the data shows β€” and what I see in practice β€” is that proper titration prevents most adverse events.

For this specific question, I would recommend: reviewing the relevant clinical guidelines.

I respect hans_munich perspective but I think this oversimplifies things a bit. Re: ADHD and GLP-1 need advice β€” the effect size varies considerably by population.

I am not saying hans_munich wrong entirely β€” just that the picture is more nuanced than a blanket statement. The SURMOUNT data specifically shows baseline BMI-dependent responses.
