Maintenance phase 18 months at is not that straightforward in my experience

This is exactly right. Dr.BariatricHTX articulated what I have been trying to explain to my friends for months. The Maintenance phase 18 aspect is what made the difference for me.

Reading this thread on Maintenance phase 18 hits close to home. Dad of 2 checking in β€” I started at 261 lbs and felt like I would tried everything.

7 months on tirz and I am a different person. Not just the 36 lbs lost β€” my energy, my mood, my relationship with food. All transformed.

If you are on the fence about Maintenance phase β€” take the leap. It was the best health decision I have ever made. ❀️

anders_CPH β€” that is really helpful context on Maintenance phase 18. Follow-up question: how long did you wait before increasing your dose?

I am in a similar situation (week 4) and trying to set realistic expectations.

To answer tommy_boulder's question specifically:

From a clinical standpoint, Maintenance phase 18 months is a reasonable concern that deserves a thorough answer.

The short answer: the evidence supports this approach for most patients.

The longer answer involves reviewing the specific clinical trial data relevant to your question, which I am happy to elaborate on if helpful.
