My endo and I disagree about is 98% purity actually good or and I want a reality check.

They are saying that I do not need to worry about it but everything I have read here suggests otherwise.

I trust this community's collective knowledge but I also do not want to go against medical advice without good reason. What would you do?

kim_atl_prep's experience with Is 98% purity actually resonates deeply with mine. I went through almost the identical process — starting dose, titration timeline, side effects, everything.

The main difference: I titrated faster. But the overall trajectory has been remarkably similar. Down 36 lbs in 11 months.

One thing I would add that kim_atl_prep did not mention: the relationship with food fundamentally changed.

Thanks for sharing this, kim_atl_prep. A few questions about your Is 98% purity experience:

  1. What dose did you start at?
  2. How long before you noticed side effects improving?
  3. Did your provider have any specific recommendations about Is 98% purity?

I am in a similar boat and trying to learn from others' experiences before my next appointment.

OP here — wow, did not expect this much response! Thank you all for the thoughtful replies on Is 98% purity actually.

To answer SleepFixSam: yes, I am on compounded sema from a 503B pharmacy.

Quick update: things are still going well. Thanks again for the evidence-based discussion — this is exactly why I posted in a science-based community. 🙏

Relevant to Is 98% purity actually good or — here is my latest bloodwork comparison:

Key improvements: A1C 7.6% → 5.5%, triglycerides 229 → 99 mg/dL, hsCRP 8.0 → 1.1 mg/L. All on tirzepatide for 9 months.

The inflammatory marker drop is what impresses me most. Consistent with the SELECT trial's cardiovascular findings.
