Yes, definitely rotate! Injecting in the same location repeatedly almost guarantees lipohypertrophy or nodule formation. Beyond the cosmetic issue, injecting into lipohypertrophic tissue can cause erratic medication absorption — meaning you might get unpredictable drug levels, which could explain inconsistent side effects or efficacy.

Think of your abdomen as a clock face around your navel (avoiding 2 inches around the navel itself). Move clockwise each week. Then switch to thighs or upper arms for a month. Give each site at least 4-6 weeks before reusing.

Thank you all! I'm definitely guilty of injecting in a too-small area. Going to start using a rotation chart and switch to thighs for a while to let my abdomen recover. Really helpful practical advice here — my prescribing doc literally said "inject in your stomach" and nothing more.

One more tip that nobody told me — ice the area for 30 seconds before injecting. Numbs the skin so it hurts less AND I think the vasoconstriction helps reduce local reactions. My lumps completely stopped forming once I started doing this plus proper rotation.
